Larval Mussels Swim Towards Scent

In this video, a competent (i.e., ready to settle) mussel larvae is placed in a water filled channel. On one side is filtered water (left) and on the other, water that previously had an adult mussel soaking in it (right). After searching around for a bit, the mussel larvae swims towards the water that previously had an adult mussel in it, demonstrating the larvae's chemosensory abilities. See the "larval behavior" research section for more information!

None of them moving, just frozen moments!" - The Doctor
